AJ Construction and Development LLC is a residential remodeling company performing remodels, renovations, additions and home improvements throughout Washington D.C. and the state of Maryland. Since 1998 we have performed professionally and effectively for our clients turning in projects on time, on budget and to specifications. Our core capabilities are self-performing rough & finished carpentry, drywall installation & repair, painting and providing general contracting & construction management services. When performing as a general contractor we have a team of specialty trade subcontractors in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, masonry, etc. we bring in and manage for projects requiring multiple disciplines.
Our approach to construction is that of allowing each trade to perform their respective crafts, bringing all their knowledge and experience to each project ensuring best practices are used and the most professional outcomes achieved. We do not view relationships with architects, designers and homeowners as adversarial; instead our approach is partnership and team effort around common goals and shared outcomes. We realize remodeling by its very nature is stressful, invasive and disruptive so we are very particular about how we behave and treat our clients and their homes. It is always forward in our mind to find ways to lessen and expedite the impact of our work on their lives during the construction process.
