This kitchen was a compete gut and had many challenges. The opening above the counter top revealing the dining room with a centered hanging pendant light was once a doorway to the dining room. We reworked the range exhaust hood venting to go over the cabinets concealing it with crown trim so the range could attain its present location. The peninsula was enlarged, we replaced the ceramic tile floor with cork planking, added two types of backsplash tile, installed an additional built-in oven and added under-cabinet and recessed lighting. Overall, this turned out to be a very functional kitchen.
